Let me tell you, I’m not the kind of person who likes to mess around with my home. A comfortable sofa and a working TV are all I need. But the problem started at the end of last year when a friend came to my place and said my living room was “too plain”. I couldn’t stand it. I’m a grown man in my thirties, having lived for so many years, and my home was still being called plain? I wouldn’t accept it.
Guess what I did? I got carried away and bought a round LED display online. Not just any round one, but an indoor edgeless circle LED display – no frame, perfectly round, like something taken off a spaceship.

That day, I was meeting a client to discuss a project. The location was a particularly pretentious café in the city center. Instead of a welcome or a menu when you entered, there was a circular LED screen hanging on the wall, with a picture of something like the Milky Way floating right in the middle. Damn, it was so sci-fi. I zoned out for like ten minutes and totally missed what the client was saying.
As soon as I got home, I started searching, typing in all kinds of keywords in a haphazard way: circular screen, borderless, LED, wall-mounted… It was only gradually that I found this name: indoor edgeless circle LED display.
To be honest, when I first saw the price, I almost dropped my phone. But there was only one thought in my mind: My living room can’t be any more plain!
Some friends said, “Are you crazy? What’s the use of this thing except being cool?” Others said, “It’s round and has LED. Why don’t you buy a projector?”
But I didn’t believe it. After studying a lot of materials, I found out that this thing has long been used in some high-end shopping malls, exhibition halls and art spaces. They all use it as brand windows and visual focal points. How could it not look good?
To put it bluntly, I just want to do something different at home. Having lived for thirty years and finally having my own house, if I don’t put in some “hard work”, what will I brag about in the future?

When the goods were delivered to my home, the packaging was about the same size as a refrigerator. The neighbors thought I was getting a new TV. As soon as the installation workers entered the door, they said, “This screen is quite special. It’s the first time I’ve seen it.”
The model I chose is not the largest, but it still has a diameter of one meter. When I was hanging it on the wall, I began to regret it: if it falls down, it will directly cripple my dog.
Fortunately, the master was professional and fixed it firmly. At the moment the machine started up, I was really touched. When that circle of lights lit up, the atmosphere of the entire living room changed. Before, the living room was like a “typical family home”, but now it feels like a “concept art gallery”.
You think I’m just using it to play some videos? No, bro, here comes the key point.
I found some circular video materials, such as liquid rotation, cosmic planets, slow-motion smoke… These things just don’t feel right on square screens, but once placed in a circular screen, they seem to come alive.
Especially the liquid rotation, when friends came, they all watched in silence. My wife plopped down on the couch and after ten minutes, she said to me, “I feel like I’ve been hypnotized by it.”
Yes, this screen does have a hypnotic effect. Especially at night without turning on the lights, the screen softly glows, making the living room feel like some kind of meditation space. I tend to get anxious, but since this thing came, I sleep more soundly at night.

Think it’s perfect? Nah. I need to make this clear to you to prevent you from making impulsive purchases.
Not all videos can be directly uploaded. Especially those that were originally in landscape or portrait format, they look like the Transformers got drunk when played on a circular screen. You have to find dedicated circular materials or do the editing yourself.
The budget is not low: Don’t think that a small piece is cheap. Its “roundness” and “edgeless design” are really priced based on technology. The accessories, installation, and later maintenance are all not cheap.
Reasonable placement: If your home has limited space or the walls are not load-bearing, it can be a bit tricky to install. It’s not as simple as just hanging it up.
But I still stand by what I said: It’s cool, and that’s enough.
My sister’s first words when she came to my place were: “Brother, what the heck did you install? It looks like a flying saucer.”
When my dad came, he looked at the screen, then at me, and asked, “How much is this screen?” I just threw out a random number. He nodded and said, “At your age, you should play with some fancy stuff.”
My friend came to the party. We didn’t chat much all night. We spent the whole night taking pics around the screen and blasting them on Instagram. A friend who works in exhibitions even asked me where I bought this screen, saying they wanted to use it in their next immersive exhibition.
What can it do? Display things, of course. But what it shows is not just “content”; it’s mood, style, and that special feeling that makes your place memorable.
It doesn’t talk about functionality; it just has one word: cool.
Sometimes I sit on the sofa and watch it all night without touching my phone. It’s not because it’s so high-end, but because it’s so unlike the “everyday”. It’s like cracking open a portal to another dimension right in your bedroom, and wherever you go, you still feel like you haven’t left home.
If you also have the slightest thought of not living by the book, this thing is worth your consideration.
Since installing this circular LED, I’ve suddenly become addicted to spatial design. I’m considering whether to do the same for my bedroom next, but that would be a bit crazy.
This thing is not a necessity, but it’s a bit like the “seasoning” in your life. With it, life has a bit more flavor. Just like what I often tell people now:
My home is not big, but it has the universe.
